Study Sunday

Such is life for 12 out of 48 hours I have for this weekend~
It's finally exam week at IE... and so I'm finally using up the individual study hours I've saved during my first term for this weekend. I was in school from 12-5pm yesterday.. took a break from 5-8pm (and subsequently went to the gym)... and resumed studies from 8-10pm (Apparently I wasn't the only one doing that. In school, I saw Sebastian, Danella, Tiago and Luis studying together.. as well as Stefano, Rachel and Kiki. When I left by 10pm, apparently Jay and Ben were about to study as well).

7 hours of study isn't that long a period... considering the amount of things one has to cover for the finals. I technically spent most of my time on Economics yesterday... mostly re-writing my notes into a summary sheet. A university psychology professor of mine once suggested that writing things down helps embed information to your long term memory. Later today I'll be reciting my notes twice just to reinforce that further.

That was technically my Saturday... and today (Sunday) will follow a very similar format. I've booked a room from 12-5pm... with the intention of going to the gym again for a break (wait a minute~ they're only open til 3pm! Hmmmm). Come think of it... my arms and back are pretty sore from yesterday~ so maybe it may be a good reason to let it rest (excuses). Anyway, it'll be a day dedicated to studies... with the hope that all this effort with translate into something positive later on!

Where to eat for breakfast?
I started off the day with a morning Sunday walk. The stuff I had in my fridge weren't breakfast-friendly (more like stuff you'd eat for lunch or dinner) so I decided to walk a couple of blocks to the direction of Avendia de America. I remembered that the diner there seemed to be quite an active place and the chances of it being open on a Sunday might be high. Thank goodness I was correct.

Better selection of food compared to other eateries in the neighborhood, in my opinion
Interestingly, although I have already lived in Madrid for 3 months (as of today), I had never stepped foot inside this restaurant. Most eateries would serve tortillas and jamon... I was honestly pretty happy that they had other stuff available on their breakfast menu. For breakfast, I had shrimp salad.

Good bun~ but the hot dog could've been better! :p
Doesn't sound like a mighty breakfast right? That's precisely why I looked over to their menu and ordered a "Perrito Caliente" (a.k.a. a hot dog). Looks pretty different from the photo, doesn't it (which is always the case)?

Well, I had zero expectations for this hot dog and that's why it wasn't as disappointing. I must say though, that the bun was better than I expected.

Anyway, that's the first half of today covered. Gotta get ready for studies... I doubt any interesting (or weird) things will happen today during my review session.
